Meet Our Tutor Dilara!

Why do you spend your time teaching with Hub21?

I enjoy encouraging and empowering young coders. I believe, to have the chance to touch someone’s life is a priceless experience.

How has teaching to code with Hub21 impacted you?

It’s a two-way street, I do not only teach but also improve myself and learn with Hub21. Besides, I’ve got to know many beautiful people both as tutors and as students!

What are some of your teaching principles or strategies? 

First, I explain what we want to do, and then, by asking questions I try to encourage them to come up with ideas on how to. Thus, they not only use their creativity but also understand which piece of code does which task.

What do you do outside of teaching with Hub21?

I am usually busy with university work but apart from that I really love spending time in the kitchen, baking. I also enjoy camping and running.

What are the funny moments you’ve had with your students?

One time we were trying to add sound to our little animation with lovely Selen, she was trying the sounds to pick the one she liked the most. Then, she accidentally clicked on a honking sound, got scared, and almost fell down from the chair, we both laughed a lot.
